Situated on an exceptional 1.75-acre lakefront lot, this remarkable 8,532 sq ft home offers a rare combination of historical significance, refined design, and breathtaking views of Lake St. Clair. This 7-bedroom residence showcases exquisite detailing, elegant woodwork, and an abundance of natural light throughout. A defining architectural centerpiece is the dramatic 25-foot curved floating stone staircase with a striking stainless-steel balustrade—an iconic feature of Frost’s work. The home was prominently featured in Town & Country Magazine in 1958. The unique long, narrow floor plan creates a seamless flow of living and entertaining spaces. The first floor features a spectacular 22 x 43 glass-enclosed loggia, spacious 20 x 22 living room, 17 x 18 library, generous pantry, and a first-floor bedroom suite. Additional highlights include a screened-in porch and an elongated rear gallery overlooking the grounds. Elevator and whole house generator offer additional convenience. The second level offers additional living space, two service staircases, two staff bedrooms, and four generously sized bedrooms, including an impressive 19 x 39 primary suite with expansive lake views. An updated apartment above the attached garage provides flexibility for guests or extended living. Distinctive interior finishes include hand-painted silk wall coverings, gray grass cloth, bleached wood detailing, and a thoughtfully designed kitchen featuring chalk-blue walls and custom Lucite cabinetry. A rare 17th-century marble mantel adds timeless character to the main living space. A truly one-of-a-kind estate offering architectural pedigree, scale, and setting—an extraordinary opportunity along prestigious Lake Shore Drive.
